Fundraising committee members needed!

The Campbell River Art Gallery is now recruiting members for their fundraising committee.

Join the passionate team at the gallery in their mission to exhibit, educate, and encourage the creation of Art that Matters.

In support of its social justice mandate, the CRAG works to bring art that matters to Campbell River with a focus on supporting projects from underrepresented positions within contemporary art practice.

This committee will meet monthly, though more time might be required of volunteers as plans for fundraising are developed and implemented.

All fundraising efforts support the gallery’s exhibitions and barrier-free educational programs.

To apply contact Sara Lopez Assu, executive director of the CRAG at director@crartgallery.ca

We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic volunteers to lend a helping hand on an ongoing basis at our pop-ups, at community festivals, and other events. Criminal record checks are mandatory but completely free through the Volunteer Centre. We can’t wait to meet you!

Gallery Shop

In the Gallery Shop, volunteers generally work a 2 to 5 hour shift weekly. You must be comfortable working with the public, enjoy art, deal with sales, track visitors, register people for art classes and more. It’s a fun, creative environment and great work experience.

For events, volunteers help with poster distribution, set up and take down, serving food and beverages and more.

Children and Youth Programs

For those who enjoy working with children or youth and participating in community events, the Gallery often has volunteers assist with school tours of the Gallery or other art activities. There are also opportunities to represent the Gallery or offer an art activity at special events out in the community.

Join a Committee

From time to time, the Gallery needs volunteers to participate on a committee either year-round or on an ad hoc basis. Contact the Gallery to see if there are currently openings on any of our committees.
